BIO
The foundation of hip-hop seems to take a backseat these days to the glitz and glamour, the social media beefs, the money. It’s rare to see artists dive headfirst into history of hip-hop and come out willing to carry that for their career. DMV artist Indio Prather has done that and in doing so, is able to cross all different types of terrain with his music. Prather emcees and produces and in both settings you can hear and feel the amount of studying Prather has done over the course of his career thus far.
Indio Prather has released three solo projects in “Think Tank Diner”, "Naranja", & “Just My Thoughts” in playing these three projects you can hear the versatility of Prather. Never confining himself to one lane, but rather branching out with a number of styles and sounds and doing it well. Between collaborations with Doc Illingsworth, LAZ of Clear Soul Forces, Drew Dave, Anwar HighSign, and getting coverage from Dead End Hip Hop it’s clear Indio is here to be a staple not just lightning in a bottle. Furthermore Prather’s plans to release a book, several music releases and more will have all eyes and ears on the DMV stand out come 2022 and beyond.
